Alpine strawberries and autumn raspberries

So here I have been waiting and waiting for my alpine strawberries to ripen. They DONT they are a white strawberry and have a delicious taste. We have not got a lot just a couple of handfuls but made a great discovery. I was weeding about them thinking to myself that they were taking a long time to ripen. I noticed that some were going rotten and bugs had eaten them...hmm what? me thinks. So I popped one in my mouth, a lovely burst of strawberry. Darn ignorance in this case was not bliss. lol There are quite a few more flowers on the strawberries and raspberries, I am hoping we will have enough for desert of them one night.
